Anagha Rayaprolu
Founder and President
I am a sophomore at Redmond High School passionate about healthcare volunteering, enhancing health equity in underserved communities, and youth leadership. I founded Healing Hands after experiencing firsthand the challenges of accessing healthcare volunteering opportunities as a young person. I wanted to create a platform for the youth to meaningfully support patients and community health by providing essential supplies and support to patients, shelters, clinics, and underserved communities, while also teaching volunteers about healthcare conditions in an informative and engaging way. I hope that through volunteering with Healing Hands, youth volunteers are able to develop compassion, creativity, and a deeper understanding of healthcare, as well as the importance of advocating for and supporting underserved communities.
Sanaa Dighe
Program Director
I’m a sophomore at Redmond High School and the Program Director of Healing Hands! I’m passionate about science and medicine and hope to pursue a career in the medical field. I love working with my peers and community members, and I joined Healing Hands because I once struggled to find ways to volunteer within events that truly interested me due to my age. As a board member, I hope to support our mission by empowering young people to get involved in healthcare volunteering and make a positive impact in their communities.
